What we do

Groundwork Action is a movement hub for the next generation of community leaders in Minnesota. Through bottom-up leadership, statewide coalitions, and rapid response, Groundwork Action is building progressive power in Minnesota.

Rapid response: Founded in the midst of Operation Metro Surge with the belief that we must use all the tools at our disposal to protect our neighbors, Groundwork Action is a convening space to respond to evolving community needs. Whether it is a federal government invasion, elections, local policy action or other pressing issues, Groundwork is a place where community leaders can come together and develop solutions. 

Training: Groundwork Action trains the next generation of community leaders. Our work focuses on building progressive power in communities of color and marginalized communities. From the grassroots to the grasstops, training equips leaders with tangible skills and builds networks of activists.

Statewide coalitions: Groundwork serves as a convening hub for movement organizations, influencers and businesses to build power together.
